2FW cable is made with stranded resistance wires for added tensile strength. The resistance wires are encased in FX150 insulation. FX150 a flexible rubber like material made with heat defying XR150C®.
UL Listed
2FW cable is UL Listed for embedding under any type of floor covering. For best heat transfer you should use a floor covering with an R-value below 2.5.

Low Energy Usage
2FW cable uses between 12-15 watts per square foot. The mortar under the floor covering will absorb the heat and spread it evenly under the floor covering. Floor coverings with an r-value below 2.5 perform best.
If you are installing 2FW cable in a basement or garage as the primary heat source you should consider installing perimeter and/or slab insulation.
