Floor Warming Systems

We have floor warming cables and mats that you can use for floor warming, primary space heating, or supplemental space heating.

HISTORY: In 1972 we patented our M.I. radiant heating cable assembly. Later we added our FW cable that distributors can stock locally and in 2008 we added 2FW cable.

How does it work?

You embed your heating element 1/4" - 3" below your finished flooring surface.

Your F15A thermostat switches a 15 amp load. If your amp load exceeds 15 amps you will need to install a load switching device.

When the F15A thermostat calls for the heating element to activate, the thermostat will either switch on your heating element or signal your load switching device to switch on your heating element.

Your F15A thermostat also includes a built-in 5mA G.F.C.I. for wet locations, and a floor temperature sensor.

The heating element will start immediately at its fully rated power output and warm the floor to your desired setpoint temperature.

For best results the R-value of the floor should be kept under 2.5.

SUSTAINABLE features

  • Energy Efficient: Electric resistance heating elements convert nearly 100% of their energy into heat.
  • Low Maintenance: you only have one moving part, the switch.
  • Energy Star Rated: Delta-Therm floor warming cable systems are controlled by an energy star rated thermostat.
