FW & 2FW cables are embedded in mortar beneath the floor
covering. M.I. cable is embedded in concrete.

Installing Under Tile

FW and 2FW floor warming cables are attached to a concrete backerboard. For 2FW cable use a minimum 1/4" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.For FW cable use a minimum 1/2" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.Install tile following manufacturer's directions.

 

Installing Under Engineered Wood

FW and 2FW floor warming cables are attached to a concrete backerboard. For 2FW cable use a minimum 1/4" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.For FW cable use a minimum 1/2" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.Install tile following manufacturer's directions.

 

Installing Under Hardwood Wood

FW and 2FW floor warming cables are attached to a concrete backerboard in between sleepers. For 2FW cable use a minimum 1/4" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.For FW cable use a minimum 1/2" of thin set or another cementious material such as gyp-crete.Nail hard wood to the sleepers following manufacturer's directions.
