Our patented M.I. cable termination is unique. We can customize the cold lead length of your cable at the factory to help you avoid splicing on extension wire in outdoor above grade junction boxes. Above grade j-boxes are ugly, they're a tripping hazard, and worst of all they may leak water into your moisture proof system.

You can operate your M.I. snow melting cable assembly at 12 VAC up to 480 VAC.
flexibility on the job-site
M.I. cable is annealed to remove brittleness and you will find it easy to bend the cable to fill in curved areas or move around any obstacles such fire hydrants. You can also accommodate unforeseen installation changes such as a railing that needed to be moved by 6" or the installation of a bike rack, etc.
embed in asphalt, concrete, or sand beds
UL and CSA have tested and confirmed that you can safely install M.I. cable in a single pour of concrete, dual pour of asphalt, or in sand beds under pavers. For best performance results install cable 2-3 inches below the finished surface.
choice of dual or single conductor cable
You can use dual conductor M.I. cable for stairs and landings and single conductor for slabs.
hdpe overjacket protection
The extruded high density polyethylene overjacket will protect your cable against corrosive chemicals tracked in by tires or shoes that can seep through your pavement. It also physically protects the cable during installation.
built for you with customized heat output
Your Delta-Therm M.I. snow melting cable assembly is factory built, moisture proofed, and quality tested before shipping. It will arrive on site ready to install right out of the box. Based on the information you provide we will customize your heat output between 45-60 watts per square foot and your cable spacing between 6-9 inches on center.

According to A.S.H.R.A.E. and the U.S.D.O.E. electric resistance heating elements operate at near 100% effciency. This system turn on at its fully rated wattage output and is very more efficient when installed on automatic controls and customized to your precise heat output.
low maintenance
With only one moving part in the contactor panel you only have to periodically check the contactor panel and ensure the moisture sensor is clean before the start of the winter season.
