Depending upon wind, sun, and shade patterns you may have areas of your roof that warm, melt, and drain faster than other areas. To help you insure complete drainage you can install up to 4 GS sensors on your roof.
how the DTC120-G works
The DTC panel will monitor sensor conditions. When one GS sensor detects moisture presence and the OTS-F5 ambient thermostat detects the temperature has fallen below 40°F, your deicing cable will activate. The deicing cable will remain activated for 35-minutes after one of the conditions at the sensors changes.
modular components
The DTC120-G uses modular components, 1 DTC control panel, 1 OTS-F5 thermostat, and up to 4 GS sensors. We separate components individually so that in the rare event that a component needs replacement, you can do that easily and inexpensively.
dtc switches 16 amp load
The DTC control panel comes equipped with a 20 amp relay output contact. For small roof deicing projects you may use this control to switch your amp load.
