ordinary and hazardous pipe tracing
You can use our FM Approved, CSA Certified, and UR recognized IN Series 3, 5, 8, and 10 watt per foot cable for ordinary or hazardous location pipe tracing projects. Check the front of the IN Series datasheet for approved hazardous locations.
self regulates
Your self-regulating cable will increase heat output as ambient temperature decreases and conversely decrease heat output as ambient temperature increases.
For example the per foot rated output of the IN 3 watt per foot cable was calculated at a voltage of 120 or 240, and an ambient temperature of 50°F. Check the backside of the IN Series cable datasheet for electrical specifications.
multi-voltage cable
You can operate IN 240 VAC cable at 208 or 277 VAC but you need to remember that the wattage output will change.
For example when you operate the IN240-3 cable at 208 VAC the rated output is 2.3 watts at 50°F and at 277 VAC the rated output is 3.8 watts at 50°F. Check the backside of the IN Series cable datasheet for electrical specifications.
