Your IN Series self-regulating cable will increase or decrease heat output in response to changes in ambient temperture and moisture.
For example the 5 watt per foot rated output of IN240-5 cable was calculated at an ambient temperature of 32°F in air. At 32°F in water the cable will output 9 watts per lineal foot. Please check the back of the IN Roof & Gutter Deicing Series cable datasheet for all electrical specifications and thermal ratings.
multi-voltage cable
You can operate the IN240-5-CBT at 240 and 277 VAC. At 240 VAC the rated output will be 5 watts per foot at 32°F in air and at 277 VAC the rated output will be 7 watts per foot at 32°F in air.
cut to length and field terminate
Self-regulating cables are sold on reels. We supply power connection and end termination kits so that you can cut the cable to length and terminate it in the field. Please check the back of the IN Series cable datasheet for maximum circuit lengths.
wattage outputs
IN Series cable will output between 7-14 watts per lineal foot depending upon which IN cable you select.
