When embedding snow melting cables in asphalt the N.E.C. requires a minimum 1.5" asphalt base. You can use our T-SSS stainless steel strapping with clips spaced 1" (2.5cm) apart to anchor M.I. snow melting cable assemblies to asphalt. 

• You can lay two parallel rows of T-SSS strapping on top of the 1.5" (4cm) base layer of asphalt.
• Using 3"-4" (8cm-10cm) long nails, secure the T-SSS strapping on top of the base layer of asphalt.
• Use the tabs to secure the cable in place.

• The N.E.C. requires that all embedded snow melting systems be identified by a marker.
• You can install our brass marker in concrete, asphalt, and pavers without fear of degradation.
